We advocate for our community, and celebrate progress in the workforce.

About

Our mission

Advocates for Disability Employment is committed to building a more inclusive workforce across Sonoma County. As a nonprofit organization, ADE recognizes and celebrates businesses, employees, and community advocates who create meaningful employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Through awareness, recognition, and community engagement, we support a future where every person is valued for their abilities and has the opportunity to contribute, succeed, and thrive in the workplace.

The group is smiling, and some are wearing name tags. The room has wooden floors, curtains, and a screen with a presentation.

Driven by community

Formerly known as the Sonoma County Mayors Committee on Employment for People with Disabilities, Advocates for Disability Employment has long been rooted in the Sonoma County community. Each year, ADE brings people together to honor local businesses, employees, and advocates who are leading the way in inclusive hiring and workplace support. Award recipients are nominated by community members, making the celebration a true reflection of the people, organizations, and partnerships helping Sonoma County become a more welcoming place to work for everyone.
